    Agristability

So I get my agristability notice and after some quick math.....is this even worth being in?

70 percent of 70 percent means you are out of business before it kicks in.

Told the lady yesterday it's a severance program for farmers not a program to keep guys failing from uncontrolled circumstances.

Nope... then take the lower of your average gross margin or your eligible expenses and it gets even worse.

I've said it before, the Governments seen the potential liability accruing in this program and had to water it down, otherwise it could have cost them dearly. I think only crooks get paid with this program.... work it by shuffling grain between different members of same farming operations that are farmed under different names...or likely the likes of Pike!

Hate to say, told you so, but Harper gutted the program. Just saying.

Do you think that's the way these guys are growing?

Moving grain around so each member takes a crack at being zeroed for a year?

Never seen a rep from agristability or a banker for that matter ever bang on the side of the shiny snow fence.

So what am I missing it's just one tool in the tool box. Hail ins crop insurance and then if you want buy extra. No free lunch.

What your missing, is your talking about Agrilnvest not Agristability. Two different programs!

I guess some one mentioning Harper in a negative way got you all excited!!

I concluded this spring that the program no longer made sense and withdrew. As a person who believes in lower government footprint I don't have a problem with that. They already pay a portion of crop insurance isn't that enough?

Grudgingly stayed with AgStab. I guess if I don't want crop insurance and happy with a token matching deposit in AgInvest, I guess I will only be covered in the event of a near absolute disaster on my farm. Kinda self insured at the "moment" but that can change in a couple short years.

Are you boasting you're a crook or just being a liar now? ;-O

Only you would know if you used creative accounting or it was legitimate "benefits"

                              Back to your happy place...
