Good and wet here on our clay. Lots of canola up so crusting won't be an issue. Nice slow steady rains. Had close to an inch a week ago and an inch and a half over Friday and Saturday. Have a field of feed to put in and breaking patches of oats to do. Walking fields this morning and lots of wild oats coming. My rr canola will be polluted in a week. I wonder about throwing in some assure or select with the roundup to get those smaller grasses as roundup sucks on one leaf grassy weeds. I imagine spraying will be interesting if this wet cycle is here to stay.

Good morning all. Where we farm ( northwest of Maple Creek) we have had approx. 6 inches of rain from april 27th to may 31. It looks like a paradise where we live and we are good with that! A month and a 1/2 ago things looked like a wreck was on the way , thankfully mother nature had a sense of humour , for the time being at least. Conditions this year compared to last year at this time are like night and day. I feel for the guys who have so much moisture that you can't turn a wheel .There is a difference between too much moisture and being flooded out. Down here The term "too much rain" is mentioned very seldom. My friends in the Cypress Hills in 2010 found that out, and we can thank Sask Water for dropping the ball on that one.
