    rain event coming

Last winter was very strange with no snow. Many seen no snow and assumed we were dry and a drought was coming.I said 500 miles south of us they get no snow and can grow a very good crop.Seeding was early with no snow and ground able to warm quicker.Low spots dry and farmers allowed to seed corner to corner.Yes farmers were looking to the sky especially the cattle guys .timely may rains have arrived to make hay and get a crop into July.Every year has huge challenges. Will it be pests..disease..or harvest weather?

Getting disappointed with every event NOT able to move N or from W. Same forecast this time, stalls S of #1? Has happened many years, an invisible wall that won't move. Many on here have seen STUCK weather, too wet or too dry.

Thanks. Just being able to seed again for a week.

Lost may 10 to 17th for rain. And now may 24 to the 30th.

Very little spraying because of wind and mud.

Spray planes are out spraying farmyards. I am told they are piled up about three feet, shoveling out doors and trees totally stripped. U-g-l-y!

I sure that rain stays south of the #1 highway.
We don't need a drop here. Finished seeding yesterday and any rain that comes now is not welcome.
Middle of June half an inch would be ok.

When it rains, it let it.

One farm at 6.5 inches since May 11, other farm 4.5. Area lentils may not shrug off the next inch.

Peas as well in those areas will be trouble if on tighter rotation

Anywhere from 5 to 7 inches now in the Edm region since May 19. Guessing seeding will not be completed here this year. Wonder what that will do to the peas? There were some nice fields of them a few days ago but fields starting to flood now.

Western Canada satellite looks ominous, coming from SE.
