We usually spray at that stage... ams and micros will keep them green.

Furrow are you doing 1l and 1 gal?

It's a little more money but when I used to grow non Clearfield lentils I'd throw in P3 and never saw any flash. I ran out for a strip and went with straight pursuit and they just sat doing nothing for two weeks.

Ok, great info. The peas are bigger so they should have more plant area to grab the micros. Klause, do you mean you spray them at 7 node? Is the ams used instead of uan? Furrow, I appreciate any extra info. Also Like the results that the Rack had using their micro package.

A quick tip that some may not know. When using merge as in solo//oddysey watch the merge rate carefully. With these growing conditions warm and humid 0.5 vv merge is more than is needed from my experience. Hence the earlier pull the merge back 15% comment. If you stop with solo/oddysey/merge in your booms for more than 2 hrs then you must purge your booms prior to carrying on with spraying. It will settle In The booms rapidly and roast peas/lentils for first 1:4 mile if not purged. I'm assuming viper even with uan may be similar but haven't actually experienced it with viper as always sprayed it all at once over a long day. Merge is a tremendous tank cleaner any previous group 2s in any nook and cranny will be pulled by it. I've seen peas and lentils screwed on this alone when the producer thot he had cleaned out well prior. Let a load sit in tank overnight and carried on next day. Resulted in G2 damage

Sprayed our peas with Odyssey Ultra in 10 gpa late Wed afternoon and finished Thursday morning....they are still looking ok. Or isn't that enough time to yellow? There was a cool morning a couple of mornings before but growing conditions have been decent. About 4-6 node stage.

Nothing special...granular inoculant and S15 with the seed. Rolled after emergence.

Little concerned about possibly reaching soil saturation level.

So for what merge costs, would be be a good flush chemical with ammonia water at tank clean out after using a group 2 herbicide??

We used gran innoc, 30 lbs actual P and rolled after seeding. Was a little scared to do anymore seed placed P as it went through our seedmaster fert shank so not much disturbance. They look good just need to get them sprayed.

Also run a Seedmaster 4G. Phos to soil tests and split seed 50/50 between both knives. End up with a twin row. Never seen a problem at 25/30 P. Yes I use merge all the time in tank and boom cleaning. 2x water rinse, 1 jug merge in 200 gallons. Rinse cycle vigorously. Charge booms and if I'm really scare or paranoid that day, then fold out and let booms bake in sun with merge till they are good and warm. Ideally over night. Pull all filters and wash. Check for soul in tank and wipe off or pressure wash. Then back 1x water flush and then all clear rinse. 2x water flush and I'm ready. Good results thus far

Ok thanks JD. We have SS tank and booms and have not run too many group 2 herb but are going to try Everest 2.0 on some wheat. Need the residual on a field as the millet and WO are thick. Will have peas sprayed before the wheat but will be going into barley after wheat.

One thing we have done as well when peas are stressed and possible disease situation in wet condition is use 2 ltr Alpine G22 with 75% rate bravo - it can bring a crop back very quick if root rot has not set in.
