I will keep microsphrilia (sp?) black spot in check till flowering .
I would imagine that is showing up already in wet areas - just a hunch

Shower again here. Not much but keeps it wet. Most likely spray sunday which will mean they will be a full 7 node but need to get them sprayed. Local guy said they have sprayed to 8 node but BASF said that they soon go to reproductive mode around there and spraying later may hurt yield. What have you guys seen for spraying later as far as yield drag, if any at all? We will go in with priaxor or something with a foliar top up at first flower. Trying to push this yield a little higher as prices seem strong for now. Klause, furrow and JD you guys seem to have decent experience. Any thoughts on staging and foliar top up?

I have never done foliar top ups on peas and have grown some stellar peas over the years and some unstellar ones as well. Water and heat is the 2 limiting factor growing peas here. At max capacity right now and one good rain in 3/4 weeks and looking at big yields again. Always fungicide at first flower if potential is there. Just plain works in these parts

Thanks JD, just reading back a few posts. Do you have any emeregence difference between the seed and fert knives on you SM as the fert shank is .75inchs deeper? And furrow, what is the liquid innoculant injection system you have? Whats your cart, or is it an after market add on?

The liquid injection system is from Alpine.
Small liquid innoculant tank with a medi pump mounted on a stand - very slick set up.
We set it up on the hitch of our liquid ortho tank.
The electric ortho pump activates the medi pump and you can just dial in whatever innoculant rate you wish that get injected on the go as you seed.

Yes there is an emergence difference of a day or 2 between the rows. Many times tho it's hard to tell as the ground is rolled which automatically skews any seed depth you thought you were achieving.

We rebuilt our own cart, from an old liquid caddy.
