Notley's NDP looking good for a second term..........

    .......with opposition like the Wildrose.

Pretty well summed up by the first comment under the article:

"The Wildrose Party has become Canada's version of the Stupid Party. This times it involves 9 elected Wildrose yahoos, whose ignorance is hard to believe, but impossible to ignore. This is not The Ozarks. This is not Alabama. This is Alberta. We are not a province of uneducated rubes. I do not want to be governed by a pack of losers wearing dunce caps in the back of the classroom. I want the smartest pupil in the class, Premier Rachel Notley, calling the shots. I do not envy Brian Jean having to deal with these regular Bozo Eruptions from the back of the classroom."

You do have to keep in mind that the truth is usually somewhat different than what is reported in the mainstream media as it was in the Fildebrandt case. I will admit that if proven true it does seem out there but I will be looking for more information before I believe this one.

If the Wildrose continues to self destruct it is a positive development. We need Only one party right of center that appears much to my surprise to be the PC's. I don't think the majority of Albertan's will give the NDP a second mandate.

wild rose are acting like a bunch of rubes. I voted for them. I will not vote for the PC's. They spend like the NDP, and put us in the poorhouse over the last 10 years.

I did a little reading Grassfarmer. If I understand it correctly the WRP MLA's made the point that forced collectivization of farms in the Soviet Union reduced the incentive to produce and helped cause the famine in the Ukraine in the early thirties. I am not a historian in any way shape or form but the decades of communism in the Soviet Union was certainly characterized more by oppression than success. Venezuela and Brazil are more recent examples of failures of Socialism. The WRP in Alberta is pointing to the failures of socialism and unfortunately doing a poor job. They bungled their handling of Kathleen Wynne and they have done it again. Socialism only results in high taxes and large deficits and it shouldn't be hard to show that! Have a good day!

You can try and sugar coat it Hamloc but the comparison they were making was that the proposed Carbon Tax for Alberta was similar to the Ukrainian Holodomor. Did they know that that genocide was deliberately caused by Stalin's regime? Either way it was pretty dumb and remember that this was nearly half their caucus that pooled their brains to come up with this article.
Strankman of course was TOM4CWB's big hero, a genius among his peers.

Well at least their stupidity made your day, grass. The rest of us should be dusting some heads. We appear doomed to repeat.
