    Let the reseeding begin

Peas with wet feet?? Drills active just before good soaker again last night.

Rest look pretty yellow and not just in low spots

Your area must be wet -wet -wet. How much rain have you had since seeding? The systems seem to head to the Se corner every other day.

Pretty dandy looking pea crops in that Estevan, Lampman and north of that area.

Those inch and a half and two inchers and then another slow 9/10ths all keep moisture right to the top. Not that low spots are out of control...YET.

Hay enjoys it and seemingly absolutely no complaints from the soybeans. The canola varies from thin and patchy to nicely all covered in. Maybe the complex combination of seeding tools, seeding rate, depth of seeding, seedbed condition, seeding date and initial germination conditions. What else is "new".

Without the crop coverage competition there appear lots of flushes of tiny weeds of all sorts.

But the peas in quite a few instances generally don't look healthy; and within days they have gone from sick yellow to downright not looking satisfactory.

Send samples to provincial disease lab. They might have root rot - amphomyecies?

Might be reseeding here too. Low of -2 forecast for wednesday. And two days of 0. All I wanted was some precipitation.

Have not seen anything locally remotely close for reseed. Some stripy fields , most are good though.
              Some patch's from cut worms.
Most recovering very well now , some on their own some with a little help.
Some north of here was pounded by a 2 in rain/hail event a week and a half ago. Not sure if any of that was reseeded.
Even the stripy canola will look very good in 5 more days

There's a guy here who reseeded some canola....personally I don't think they pay enough attention to details. Thing is, everyone else here seeded into more or less the same conditions.....so what's the problem. Maybe look at what your doing every once in a while. Pay attention to depth and maybe don't pretend it's Formula One seeding....SLOW THE **** DOWN! Everyone can make a mistake but some folks seem more "prone" than others. With the size of today's seeding equipment it doesn't take long to have a big mess fast. PAY ATTENTION TO THE DETAILS! !!!!....thats part of my sermon to the kid! Now, to practice what I preach.

Good to see all the very stripy cereal crops in the area filling in nicely as well. That could have been a wreck with weed control.
Sometimes some seeding outfits can be frustrating when conditions get as dry as they were.
If kept clean they should be just fine , rr canola is easy to keep clean until the canopy fills in , one bonus with rr canola I guess
