Will/could 1 action change the direction of world history?

If Brexit doesn't happen, it will all come back to the assassination that took place yesterday.

Markets are up globally today, and the reason being stated, is because of the "toned down rhetoric of the exit side".

We have may just witnessed an historical change in directions for global trade.

Vote still a week away, Brexit had a double digit lead, but something like this assassination can change everything.

On a side note, For conspiracy theorists, was she sacrificed to change the direction of history?

If Brexit does happen the course of world history will change somewhat. When else do you get a chance to get rid of politicians these days? It is almost as good as the chance to vote on whether Quebec stays or not. Bye Bye Quebec.

Assassination in Europe is blamed for start of First World War, along with nationalism and protectionism which also led up to second world war.
Perhaps this latest assassination will get credit for avoiding or at least delaying a third one.

Would be unintended consequence for assassin if vote is to stay with union.

If Canada was offered a spot in the EU how would you vote?

                I'd vote NO!
Programs maybe look great $wise from here but are really worthless as its all bid into land prices, input costs etc.
Paper snowstorm like you wouldn't believe that's for sure.

Interesting point is British public were never asked to vote to approve entry in the first place, it was a parliamentary decision (some would say taken illegally). Polls back then indicated 2/3 of the population were against joining and that was only the "Common Market" not this EU monster that its evolved into.
The assasination is a shocking reminder of the danger of public office even in first world countries but this isn't going to be referendum changer I don't think.

If canada joined the eu, your land rents would double, more investors would buy land, farmers would get kicked off and the land would lie idle.
                  welcome to eu
I am out of farming now due to above.

English land can be owned by anyone. Yet in the spot I know of the closest 14 landowners names are all British most are multiple century owners. I have thought that smaller nations, more localism would someday be in the cards, who knows this may be the start. But the assassination has wounded the whole Brexit movement.
