I think it's safe to say wheat is royally screwed.

    Pretty worried......

Dig into the report. The states that directly compete with Canadian wheat are overall down on seeded acreage. At this stage of the game that is a positive. Put that together with the drop in Canadian spring wheat acres and the low Canadian carryout. Very Positive. Lots of rain in some places but maybe not enough to hurt prospects for some good protein levels?
June 30 is no time to stick a fork in it. There's time.

I'm just thinking as the complex goes, so shall CWRS. Although I am grateful that CWRS hung in there not too bad(up until recently). Lately some of the price quotes for spot are kinda dismal.....well under 6 bucks for #1-13.5 px.

I was expecting higher numbers for durum. A little surprised by peas, but most surprised by the flax numbers, wow.
I sure thought their HRSW would be even lower, but maybe that's why the durum number wasn't as high as I was expecting. Stayed in wheat rather than switching to durum.
HRSW will be one miserable beatch yet for another 12 mons.

I can see the lower grades of CWRS and lower quality milling wht classes dropping in price but why the top grades of CWRS?

Flax acres appear to be down in this area as well. I never prepriced any this year like I have in the last two. Prices could be interesting so I will gamble they will be at least as high as current contract prices or higher! $13 something has a nice ring to it!

Stats Can acreage data appears quite bullish for flax, barley and canary seed.

But lentil and mustard acres are very high and bearish toward new crop bids (IMO).

Yes agree our acres are down but how much bigger of a yield are we gonna have on the prairies, with low pro to boot.

I'd don't know...would love to be able to come up with a bullish story for wheat but I just can't. I get the low carryout out of the Prairies, lower acres and so on but can't see the way this crop looks that right now it matters.
