Just read an article in the latest Western Producer in which FCC feels that we are going to make more money this year and start buying new combines and 4wd tractors again. With the market action of the last 2 weeks I can't see our incomes rising. Still FCC feels for net income we are at the top of the cycle. How does everyone feel? Are you ready to buy?
Was at my local Case dealer yesterday buying parts and was talking to a salesman. All he said to me was that with new machinery having gone up 25% in the last year sales of new were slow. Lots of demand for used with low hours. Once the supply of that runs out he thought demand for new would improve. Looks like a game of chicken to me right now. I think the price of new will have to come down but I am a small farmer who buys very little new equipment. Have a good day:-)
