Single Desk Hammered by John DePape's Logic and Reasoning

    Good morning Agr-villers,

Go to this PDF and look at DePape's graphs over your coffee this morning.

    http://www.fcpp.org/pdf/ShowM%20theMoneyFeb107.pdf

There are high and low speed internet versions of the video and an MP3 audio available for the audio.
    All of these are downloadable.

You can download the MP3's onto your i-Pod or MP3 player and listen while feeding cattle or hauling their grain.

In this week's Western Producer, an article highlights the Board's outrage, instead of DePape's reasoned arguments, in the presentation referred to above.

The Board threw itself down on the floor in another tantrum, and that trumps substance, but having to butt heads with cool logic is not the CWB's forte either, so they had best continue doing what they do best.....

    Dipping into your pooing accounts.

This is one of the reasons why I love the internet. We don't have to rely on the filtered versions the likes of which the producer keeps churning out.

We can go to the source and find out ourselves.

I'm downloading the MP3 now and its coming with me for the morning rounds.

John's a great researcher, very thorough, and has done good work for the studies asked of him. Wish I could say which ones, but that would give away too much info. Just saying he takes very seriously his work.

        Interesting talk.

I sure liked how he explained the U of S study and price discrimination that the monopolist's hang their hat on.

How with using the same methodology you can show exactly the same results with every other crop out there, board and non board. In other words the study is worthless.

Will another live presentation be made by DePape in the near future?
