Weber's commentary is absolutely on the mark. By refusing to offer even the smallest concession on the single desk issue, such as allowing exemptions for processing co-ops, or sensibly structured non-pool pricing options, the CWB long ago shot itself in both feet, and then both legs and recently seems to be targeting more vital organs.
I doubt that Wilagro's comments are unique; many erstwhile single desk supporters are being turned off by the CWB's single-minded pursuit of burning bridges instead of building them.
The CWB has never been proactive in winning the support of farmers; any of their paltry "reforms" have always been initiated belatedly, grudgingly and only undertaken, it seems, after some crisis has forced their hand.
