Charlie,
I see to buy acres... Canola contractors are buying them with 10bu/ac 'Risk Free' contracting options!
In the U.S. I read this:
'Plenty of Options -- An acreage battle is underway. Brad Miller of Dakota Growers Pasta Company says producers have plenty of options. "What I'm hearing is possibly a five to ten percent increase in durum acres, but things change every day with these prices." Miller says most growers are demanding an Act of God clause in their new crop production contracts.'
So why isn't the CWB doing this?
If more marketers provided the tool... it could be a regular option... and why not?
