Wednesday With White

    1. Please create a comparative chart PDF on the CWB website.

    2. Include the years 1998-2008

    3. Provide farmers, who pay the bills, the opportunity, with ease, to see conparatively, how their Human Resources money is paid out.

    4. Include in the PDF, the total receipts from producers in tonnes, for those years.

    5. State the value of the producer grain for each year.

    6. State # of CWB employees in each year.

    7. # of permit book holder per year.

    8. Total amount of Admin and general expenses each year.

    9. Amont of borrowings...rolled over funds required to meet short term cash needs.

    10. Total amounts paid out in salraies and benefits to Senior Management and # of people.

    11. Individual Board of Directors Salaries and expenses/year.

These figures should be handily available to the farmers who pay the bills.

Will a review of PPO payment processes occur. I suspect there must alternatives to the current fiasco of sending everyone out on an adjustment payment which results in current payments above the contracted price. These processes need to be cleaned up.

Similarly, will the CWB review alternatives on grade and protein spreads for fixed price contracts other than using initial payment spreads? The best alternative would be market based spreads like in the DPC/PDS/DHC progress but even using the most recent PRO spreads would be better than the current system. Realize this will require an improve in current contract management systems but this is needed to prevent the issues highlighted in my first point and in other threads.

        stubblejumper:

        It is what it is.

And if the facts "discredit" the organization, then I think all those that have an interest in its viability should know. Equally, if the facts prove the organization is well run, facts supporting that should be public as well.

You can't manage what you don't measure.
And you can't measure without the facts.

Memo to self: make sure stubblejumper never gets on CWB board.

Off topic of questions to the CEO but most of the information Parsley requested is in the annual report. Point 9 is the only one I am not sure. All public information - just needs someone to put together/graph.

I agree with stubble, give the farmers just for me anything they want and especially a voluntary CWB. This will give all farmers what they want and need. We will settle for nothing less.

How about telling farmers what the new dpc will look like.

Seems stupid not to have the program announced already. Only a select few know what it is all about. This could swing acres.

I think this shows incompetence (my favorite word to describe the cwb) that the program details are not available.
