    Wednesday With White

    Ian White:

CWB Surveys paid for by farmers should be made immediately available to the farming community.

The results of the survey can be emailed or faxed or conference-called to the B of Directors immediately tabulated and then the results immediately distributed to farmers.

The CWB has to modernize, for heaven's sakes.

      Ian White:
The FlexPro option is commercially irresponsible for producers for two reasons.
      1. The price should be taken from the PNW export price as a floor price and the so called CWB preminum as a maxim price with the CWB basis subtract from it. The problem here is that the CWB basis will be $2.50/bu where the US basis will be about $1.20/bu.
      2. The sign up date should not be limited to June and July it should be unlimited and able to sign up anytime the tonage you want to sell at anytime during the cop year. After all the CWB has information that is confidential to them and the producer should also have information that is confidential(the amount of tonnage they have on hand, this creates price discovery in the market place)to them.
If the CWB is a commercially responsible seller then they must be a commercially responsible buyer from producers. This can only be accomplisted by being competitive with the nearest competition the PNW export price or the Duluth cash price.
The Flexpro must be competitive with our nearest export competitor.
