How dry it is really isn't hitting the media. Just back in Regina last night and funny thing the Lawn is lush green (oh sprinklers run every night for 10 min) but the park by our house looks like July. And the Canola field buy park that was seeded may 1 still doesn't have rows.
But according to media we had a major rain event in City. Gauge in back yard showed less than four tenths but Environment Canada had us as 1 inch.

1 tenth of rain since the snowfall in April, alot of crop in dry dirt. Crops seeded into exellent moisture 2 weeks ago are in dry soil, soil went from wettish to bone dry within 3-4 days last week. Lighter soils are sucked dry and heavier soils the emergence is good depending on crop seeded and frost damage. Winter wheat looks good but starting to get nervous.
