    Corn

In other news corn(and everything) is strong.

Seems to me we need 3% above 630 and couple of days of that closing price.

    Which is 649 ish.

    Then were in the money.

    With 895 the next target.

Imagine what that would do for barley and oats.

I like your thinking here cotton, what is your take on the malt market here? Is feed barley going to out perform malt again?

      Furrowtickler,

Will the CWB be in charge of Barley?

If the CWB 'single desk' has anything to do with it... Malt will be worth less than feed! AGAIN

It is part of extracting a premium from grain growers that the CWB is so proud of!

      Cheap Beer is very important!

European malt crops are in good shape according to my reports, however Australia just reported their dryest May on record or so I hear Mallee?? Are you around?? This rain event over us and most of you in canada and the norhern states over the next week is going to leave behind a lot of grain though the corn areas are going to get even more so their issues of Wet and cool aren't going away soon. I "borrowed " this comment off of another AG site from a fellow in Kansas in reference to Corn.

"Hit 6.99 tonight!! Huge milestone in my mind, but just a matter of time in my veiw.. No one can pick a high right now.. Hope we can take advantage of it.. Better raise a crop first, because it is pretty damn wet where i am at, and am sick of trying to line up seed to replant beans. I sure feel for u boys in Iowa. I hear U are worse than we are.."

MY father who's farmed his whole life and is 75 this year has said to me in the past " Usually unfortunately some farmer somewhere else in the world has to suffer for us to prosper",sad really but proving correct over the last 2 years again.

July 09 Canola is playing with the 700 mark again this morning, though I'm sure the basis is around 600 under. Off the combine canola and old crop were both over 14.00 again yesterday honestly thought we wouldn't see it again until next spring at the earliest. Tom's prediction of Corn and wheat being at Par a bunch of threads back may come true sooner than later.

Corn will be silking and pollinating during the July August heat. Frost this fall would be a worst case scenario. Then we would see how high is high.
