USDA will put another round of estimates tomorrow. Yields not survey based but will provide guidance.

Other factors can be described in three words. Weather. Weather. Weather. And its not July yet.

Energy markets. Will a barrel of oil return to under $130 or head over $140/barrel first?

Is it time to look at buying calls as a replacement strategy for crop that has been priced?

BNN covering corn rise. Massive flooding in Midwest . 35 % of expected corn crop to be diverted to biofuel. A short corn crop could be a world wide disaster. Food crisis is looming that will make fuel look insignificant.

One thought when we had the flood years a 160 acre quarter that was seeded became a 100 acre quarter by fall. Yes our fields are not tiled but I have done extensive landscaping. Another word for ditching.
