    The water slide effect.

All major moisture in western Canada is now setting up exactly like 2000. Heavy east winds in central and northern Sask pushing all east bond moisture down central Alberta then down between the #1 and the U.S., just like a water slide if you look at the maps.
We are now well over 40 days without anything more than a tenth. Winter wheat is very close to death. Some very issolated pockets have recieved or - 1/2 inch. I would say close to 1/2 of Sask is in real troulbe, unless the weather pattern breaks within days.

As someone in the trough of the slide I would gladly share some of this water. There is always enough it we could just figure out how to spread it a little more evenly. Yikes, that makes me sound like a CWB supporter!

If the jet stream would finnaly move east to north east the moisture would move through this area. A massive high presure over hudsons bay is preventing any movement in weather systems.

Looks like a usda precip map shows the jet stream moving out sat-sunday with some rain moving through the area after that. Too late for winter wheat, but I hope the rest can hang on for 5 more days. All Canadian weather forecasts have been an absolute joke for this area for the last 4 weeks. They have kept calling for periods of rain every 3-4 days then pull it only the day before. The usda reports have been very accurate for this area.
