Interview with White

Heard an interview with CWB's CEO on the radio while spraying today. Very interesting conversation with the Ag reporter from a local radio station. When asked to compare Canadian and Australian systems he claimed we are supplying Australian customers because they can't guarantee long term supplies because of their new system.

CWB is sending a final payment of $50.781/tonne for feed barley delivered to Pool A during the 07-08 crop year.

Pool A ran from Aug01/07-Jan31/08.

Cheques will be mailed 27 June or direct deposited 24 June.

It amazes me to think that someone like White would disregard the fact that Australia has had an incredible drought the past two years, some rain this year but dryness coming back. Me thinks that this has played a bigger role in the ability of a country to supply customers with any consistency. Any marketing system is limited by the volatility of production....Numbers....one can use them for their own purpose...White just went down one notch in the respect column or just maybe his comment was taken out of context.
