    Fransisco,

I was read a quote out of the Western Seducer about Mr. Justice Roger Hughes ... comparing our present gov. with Mugabe...

So Frisci... I am overstating the CWB tactics of 'social engineering' and communist/ fascism... with policies of Mugabe?

AND I am the person that is out of line?

I asked my dear wife how much did she think the CWB was stealing on our last 1200t of wheat delivered to them...

Without a pause she said "about half"!

    AND SHE IS RIGHT!

I have spent most of this week defending the CWB and groups like CFA/Wildrose...

Saying ... That we must 'work together' and reach compromises that accommodate the needs of everyone...

    SO Canadian... so mellow...

That is what we are... politically correct cowards... with full bellies... and banks that seldom foreclose on us!

    Wilagro...

the well worn 'premium' marketing claim by the CWB 'single desk' supporters... after taking over half my wheat crop... revenue... and putting it in the pool... and contingency fund that is broke...

Rings as hollow as a bell in a culvert!

The 'good will' lost by the CWB in the last year ... with commercial grain growers... is staggering!

The WP reported that Justice Hughes, during the trial, "likened the situation to that under Robert Mugabe, the dictatorial president of Zimbabwe notorious for suppressing dissent and opposition."

When judges becomine militantly political, it is offensive.

First of all, a Prime Minister who is committed to giving marketing CHOICE as opposed to the continuation of forced marketing is exactly oppositie of Mugabe.

Secondly, the comparison that Justice Hughes made was not a legitimate one. Prime Minster Harper ran on a very clear marketing-choice political platform. He stated "choice" up front and was elected, ALMOST ENTIRELY in the West.Mugabe would not have done this. For the Canadian Wheat Board then, to begin an advertising campaign, spending Western Canadian farmers' dollars, messaging exactly what those same Western farmers had voted against, was irresponsible, to say the least, and obscene at most.

Thirdly, Justice Hughes boldy thrust politics into the courtroom. This Hughes' comparison should be condemned. Hughes' choice of words should be condemned. Hughes' lack of respect for the office of the prime Minister should be condemned. If this is how our appointed judges treat the Prime Minister, do not expect the youth of our country to treat any citizen any better.

Fourth, Hughes' lack of professionalism should be reported in full in the media because he has no one to answer to. No boss.

Fifth, each one of us can send a letter to the webpage's address that permits judicial complaints about judges. They will, of course, throw them on the trash, but a few hundred of them will make Hughes less likely to be first one invited to the fattening banquets they regularly attend.

Sixth, Justice Hughes' lack of judgement in trying to discredit our country in the eyes of the world is despicable.

Seventh, the justices that have been appointed are obviously lacking diplomacy, good judgement and are more interested in political intent than in justice. The judiciary should well be reminded, like some churches who's main intent within it's own aristocracy of political wanna-be's is to win a political battle instead of saving souls, and hence their traditional supporters go and vote instead of attending church. "They too will pass."

Eighth, the court has pretty much become a place where the average citizen knows that justice and fair judgements have succumbed to strident political opportunism, and it will no longer serves them. There is no doubt in my mind, though, that Justice Hughes would have clapped his hands in delight when the court slapped chains and shackles on Andy McMeachan for selling his own grain.

Ninth, Hughes aggressively acted in a way that is nothing better than a political hack would do, and he built his own reputation in the courtoom in Winnipeg by chosing the language that he chose, (IF the Western Producer properly recorded the proceedings, and I have no reason to believe they improperly reported the events.) Hughes deserves every bit of biased scorn he receives, which his robe was designed to prevent him from dispensing.

His harm separates...ideas, communities, systems, areas ....and worse, Canadians.

For fun why dont you do an inflation adjusted flax price from the early seventies.

Of course were handicapped by the fact that flax isnt traded on exchanges anymore.Which is the worst thing in the world.

          Parsley,

Mr. Justice Roger Hughes is then the real instigator of the Saskatoon Article... not the reporter.

It is just fine for CDN Citizens to liable the PM... just like this hour has 22 minutes and air farce... we don't even think twice any more about it.

Hughes is quoted in the Western Producer by Adrien Ewins(and I consider Ewins accurate, opens his mind up to another point of view, and is dedicatingly interested in farm/agriculture, and worth more than they pay him):

            QUOTE
The gag order appeared to be simply the Government telling the CWB,"we don't want you to talk against what we do."
            UNQUOTE

            1. "appeared" .......fishing, aren't we!

            2. He used the political term "gag order" instead of legal terms such as "directive " or "order" .

            3. The Minister of Parliament's Corporation is who we are talking about here. The Government is legislatively responsible to bail the CWB out of the financial toilet. Anytime he asks them to stop spending FARMERS' money is not a bad idea.

I too, am disappointed, and consequently have toyed with the idea of bar-b-quing Ritz on a spit this summer.
