    PNW August 08 DNS13.5px prices US$552/t

    Dear Charlie,

How on earth can the CWB claim... for one second... to be offereing commercial price signals to 'designated area' wheat growers?

On checking basis for August delivery:

DNS 13.5 Pacific NW port delivered wheat is FIVE $/Bu ABOVE the MGE futures @ $552/t!

    AND

The CWB just finished putting the screws to our August 08 deliveries with a totally absurd NEGATIVE $22.28 and with exchange below US prices by a whopping $200/t for August Delivery!

IN US $... $552/t for a DNS 13.5px which is still short on px and quality to CDN 1CWRS 13.5px

June 27th we are being offered $355/t for August delivery of this same wheat!

AND the US is making the big sales to Japan on top!

Sales and Management at the CWB should have their fingers slammed in vault door somewhere!

Where is all the money going Charlie?

    Charlie,

Do you know how much the CWB is taking off the top... of wheat we just committed and delivered... over 1200t...

ENOUGH to pay off all our stinking operating loans!

    $240,000!

How in Heavens name... can any grain grower in the 'designated area' put up with this?

Most put up with it Tom because they don't take the time to understand it. Some understand it and have decided its futile to do anything about it. A few vocal ones just prefer to hide behind their ideological blinders, or have such a perverted sense of justice they think it is right.

A group decided to sidestep it, and market as "organic", only to be expropriated by a renewed-with-vigor Wheat Board who saw it was successful, but who initially did everything they could to discourage organics.

Farmers get a touch of frost several times a year. The CWB gets a touch of greed every day.

Somebody's got to pay for those CWB employee massages in the CWB excersise rooms using custom designed CWB herbal products to treat lying-on the beach-first of July sunburns.
