Why is the CWB hiring staff to take on an extension role in addition to their national licensing role and their regional marketing role?

Provincial Governments will be quick to drop their traditional expenditures for providing extension services to agriculture if the CWB picks up the tab.

Should the money from only wheat and barley farmers be footing the bill to provide extension services to all crops?

A lot of websites carry the weather. Carry infestations. Why are farmers paying for inventing the wheel?

Is this simply more job creation for Winnipeg at the expense of farmers?

Maybe the marketing dept. and sales dept. ought to do a little tour to look at the western canadian crop. All is not rosy in my part of the world. The production estimates should be re-evaluated and a new sales plan put in place or the cwb will really be caught short.

Dear President White,

Being that the CWB continuously claims it operates in a commecial manner... and does not distort markets:

When will the CWB offer commercial basis on the Fixed Price Contracts that reflect the true costs and returns to growers between west Coast CDN shipments... and St Lawrence shipments? The actual basis costs that growers in Canada really would encounter in a commercial system are not identical between Thunderbay, St Lawrence, Prince Rupert, and Vancouver B.C.

When will we see the proper adjustments instead of pooling the basis?
