    WTO Agriculture Negotiations

On July 10, Mr. Crawford Falconer, chair of ag negotiations, issued a fourth and final revision to his draft propositions. Revising seems to be a full time job.

Mr. Falconer's last revision was issued on May 19.

The proposal continues to call for over quota tariff cuts and tariff quota expansion for sensitive products - and I believe they are Canada is balking at these proposals.

The Ministerial meeting is on July 21, and this is the final revision.

Supply-managed sectors, probably view the text as a done deal.

Want to bet supply-managed industries will insist that CWB Min Ritz and Interntl Trade Min Fortier must defend supply management at the WTO's Ministerial meeting? .......Along with Hill dancing with, and dining the supply managed people with pooling dollars? Is that possible?

Hmm. Betcha Hill wouldn't have a problem with playing Sanata.

So who's the dumb-assed turkey at the WTO?

      Yup.

      Canada.

First, Canada jumps up on the elimination of export subsidies roost.

And listen to them gobbling away to eliminate domestic subsidies.. fluffing out their feathers at other countries. Cocky as hell.

And all of a sudden, Canada jumps from that roost and joins the milking men's roost to defend supply managed sectors. AND yap to continue to oppose proposals for any over quota cuts and tariff quota expansions for sensitive products.

One posiiton and then the other.

Steve Verheul is the Assistant Deputy Minister and Canada's Chief Agriculture Negotiator, and I figure he should at least get a job with the Wheat Board and get pots of pooling money salary, so's he'd have something to show his wife, because as it is, sitting on both roosts, it appears Canada can't add, divide, multiply or subtract with a stupid position like that, and keeping the job he's got only serves to make him look really really stupid.

Canada sits on two roosts and then stands up and crows at other countries whilst talking out of both sides of its' beak at the same time.

      Dumb-assed turkeys.
