    Monsanto Xmas Gift to Farmers!

Got the call yesterday from our retailer and then the Rep for RT and guess what its going up 30% due to shortage that's occurring in the Glyfos market.
Hm we sprayed 30% less acres this spring on burn off compared to the last ten years and most farmers I talked to used way less product than previous years.
So check with your retailers etc. I guess when I ordered back in June the guy wasnt Crapping me.
$18,000.00 crab. and the price of our product just dropped again. You just have to love the Screw--- were getting as farmers.
May be my neighbor that seeds in late May Early June oats with no fert and just does a burn off on his SMF and 1/2 stubble then sprays with 500 and gets 52 bushel crop on average that he is selling in January for 4.26, Who is the stupid farmer.
I am starting to think I know that answer.

glyphosate and nitrogen fertilizer are crack cocaine for grain farmers. as other nutrients are depleted the addictions will be more varied and more intense. they've got ya.

No they don't here is next years cropping plans.
      1 4000 Acres Peas No fert 1/2 liter Glyphos Cocktail for in crop and 1/2 fall 45 x 4000 x 9 = $1,620,000.00
      Cost $108000 my seed
Spray 92000 Generic plus cocktail for peas
      Fert None
      Disease none
      Inoculent FNA 12000
      Total 212000 - 1,620,000 = 1,408,000

      Other 4000 oats.
      4000 x 98 x 4 = 1,568,000.00

      Cost fert .66 lb fall x 50 = 33 x 4000 132000

      Spring Jump start 9 x 4000 32000

      Spray roundup 1/2 express plus 500 plus desiccate 1/2 = 12 x 4000 = 48000

      Cost = 212000-1,568,000= 1,356,000 1,408,000=2,764,000
Aw crap I will have a tax problem oh well I guess its better to give to Canada than FERT CHEM Companies.
Have a good one, Compare this to Canola, HRS Durum Peas and Barley and OAts.
Profit drops by some $500,000.00 to 750,000 fast.

I believe Nitrogen fixation will be genetically bread into our crops someday.
Our atmosphere is still mostly made up of N.

You know what Snapper guys like you give farmers a bad name. NO Brains just take what they give you.
OK even if its .76 or .86 or even 1.00 a lb its only .20 acre more or 80,000 God compare that to Canola and what you need or wheat etc.
            GIVE YOUR HEAD A SHAKE>
What if Farmers just all said Go F--- your ---- to the Chem and Fert. Do you think this nonsense would stop. Yep in a heart beat but Farmers like you keep feeding their habit.
Try a field next year like my neighbor and do the math Supper yield just kills your farm.
Again I say what shortage is out their did you have trouble getting your product any year in the last 10 the answer is NO its all made up just because were finally getting paid a little for our product.

Field days are on right now Stay home have a beer out of your fridge its still cheaper than the Free ones at the field days.

Saskfarter, are you a hypocrit??? Your telling me I have no brains. Yet you sprayed and fertilized your farm this year, and prebought Glyphosate for next year.

I just have to call you onn your posts sometimes becasue your so full of Sh*t half the time it's funny.

This spring you said you have all your canola treated with Helix. In the past you've stated how many times how you seed bin run seed. How do you get Helix on bin run seed?? Let me guess this year you gave in to Bayer, and bought all of your seed!!

                  Who's got no brains????

sf3 - what will your rotation tell you to seed in 2010? will your fertilization program be the same and how will that affect your yields? i think we've all seen the results of continuous soil depletion. the organic producers are at least working at kicking the habit.

Reality if you mix the two some does rub off and then spray with insecticide on in crop. If I am full of Crap why is my farm expanding every year and yours?
Yes also Round up for next year at $6.80 is cheaper than at 9.00 or better next spring.

Ill have Peas on 4000 acres that is like poor smf. Follow this in 2010 with Blend and Seed Canola. Even if the blend is 36-25-0-10 that's all.
Then take the oats area and put peas. No cereals. Do same as year before.
Year 2011 Use profits from these two to buy Fert that's needed but you have two years markets for fert and Chem can change, at least you can price some of your crop at a decent price.
I don't have all answers just trying to gain on these Guys.

Also close to 20 years at Direct seeding has soil in great shape plus fall roundup on all has fields clean.
Maybe sitting back and waiting will win this game. History will tell.

I did actually think I would be able to clear up all the 02 03 04 losses this year and start making serious cash in 07 but we will have to look at how to get their a little slower now. But the increase in the anhydrous $30,000.00 should be off set to some extent by lower diesel costs and lower seed and if FNA is able to access WO wheat generic then we will get their. Have land rents locked in for three more years so that is a constant also.

You expand when your losing money??? Who has brains???

I guess what I am trying to get across is why not Screw them like their doing to us.
What if every farmer out their did this instead of the <AH WHAT DO I NEED FOR IMPUTS THIS YEAR TO GROW A BUMPER CROP> Pick a crops that you know you can make money on.
Lentils is good one Mustard Flax Peas Oats and Barley.
Inputs are less for these crops.
Drop the Killers for costs like
                              Canola, HRS DURUM ETC.
Can any one with a strait face say their wont be ramifications in the Ag industry in Canada maybe it will catch on in rest of the world.
Hey No Operating throw in their and Boom we have some control.
