after a month of virtually nothing for rain our area got from 6/10-2 inches. and again some nothing.
i don't know if it will breathe any life into my cooked peas, but a life saver for everything else.

was to the point where (looking for the bright side) maybe if i was dried out all the N&P i put on would still be there for next year and worth twice as much. 100% Hail was starting to look really good

I'm just back from checking crops. No hail....and only 5/100ths in two guages, and almost 1 tenth in the other.

Nasty weather here on the 10th and 15th. 15th was the worst. Tennis ball sized hail, tornadoes and 200 km winds through Vulcan and Lethbridge, then Vauxhall, Taber, Burdett and Seven Persons. Buildings torn apart (including a school roof in Burdett), bins gone, and some reports have up to 200 pivots flipped over. I'm thinking 50-100, but I might be wrong. I read one report stating 10-15% of Alberta acres have been damaged by storms.

We have one alfalfa seed field in Vauxhall, and just missed the hail twice. Winds and rain blasted it flat. It was hip high and in full bloom and now its a foot high. As of the 18th I was spraying for aphids because of the damaged stems. Huge numbers in 3 days. They can smell the damage, I think. I'm putting on fungicide as well because of the rot I know I'm going to get in that mat. hey, at least my pivots are all still up.

Heard today one guy in Burdett lost his tractor. Not damaged, lost. Can't find it. Still looking today apparently.

Radar is showing another line of storms moving N to NE through SE Sask. Any hail or serious winds occuring for those of you in that area?
