    Mind Candy

Combining through many dark nights, my mind and hands depended upon automatically knowing where the levers and buttons and knobs and handles were located, even in the dark, while sipping black coffee and listening to the thruddggg of the grain getting tough but still thumping through. Trying to stay alert.

The following test that farmer "RT" sent me, (and btw, thanks), will tell you if your brain is as old as your body.

The site doesn't know your age, but it will tell you the age of your brain power.

The website is at the bottom. Once you get there you won't be able to read the Japanese instructions, so follow these instructions

    1. Touch 'start'
    2. The numbers 3 then 2 then 1 will pop up on the screen. Immediately following the number 1, several numbers will flash on the screen for barely one second.
    3. Memorize the numbers' position on the screen, then click the circles from the SMALLEST NUMBER TO THE BIGGEST NUMBER.
    4. At the end of game, the computer will tell you in years, how old your brain is.

Sounds complicated but it's really easy. Think fast, concentrate, and pay close attention.

For your 2:30 AM diversion. Enjoy.

Better than 92 and 18. LOL

I'm still trying to score below my 21 best, but no luck yet, and inevitably end up in the early thirties. I suspect Kodiak will be around a consistent eighteen, and craig a 17. And burbert? Hmm.

What I learned from this is that I more often than not, unconsciously but systematically, discount 0 as the lowest number. I am trying to learn how to reprogram my automatic split second response.

That could indeed, turn out to be a valuable life skill. lol

The experience from this game, (and I usually delete the ones sent to me), is that you quickly discover your weaknesses. That's a good thing.

For example, I am much better at mind-freezing descending groupings than ascending ones. My right snapshot is often crisper than the left grouping.

So,gotta ask, do the patterns you have mentally autosaved over the years, inevitably impact upon your marketing program? On how you do your selling and buying? In the way you absorb/react to information? I'll bet it does.

You'll have quite the pdf of memory-habits, cotton. I's love to get in there with a spade. LOL. Are you at the twelve year old's photographic memory/lightening reflex time yet, cott? I'll bet you won't be long. LOL

Darn. Couldn't play the ten minutes this morning over my late cup of coffee as I couldn't get on the website. Must be a a lot of AV'ers are playing.

I discovered how to focus my loppy-lobes so that I can "freeze" the image in TWO segments for recall. The technique got me into the late teens' score zone, but I cannot do it for long.

The downside is I might be cross-eyed now. LOL. Poor Agstar won't know which eye to fight with.

                  wilagro,

I over-indulged on sudoku a few years ago, so I only do them boredom-waiting in airports now.

                  But you might like this:

I mentally toggle her from clockwise to counterclockwise nonstop, but I am trying to suspend her motion entirely in my mind. Mind over matter, so to speak. I thought maybe it's the only way to get rid of the CWB. LOL

Parsley...."into the teens"!.. Holy lightning BatWoman....Your brain is even younger than you look....I'm impressed....
                    I tried it last night ...first time a 39..then a 36 ..34 and then 30...

I have trouble picking up the "six number" flashes... seems they cover too much screen for my old brain and eyes...
I need another fraction of a second to comprehend the sixth number....

Perhaps i'll try again after harvest...after my "multi-tasking" skills have been tuned up....Bill
