    Getting to know you..

    "Getting to know you,
Getting to know all about you...."
    La la la ...

With CWB elections coming, let's be informed voters.

Who are, really are, the CWB's accredited exporters? So I went to the CWB webpage:

    http://www.cwb.ca/db/buying/sales_process/accredit.nsf/accexppage?ReadForm

    The page listed 5 Regions

Lots of AE's in each region.

    I clicked on Europe/Africa:

    http://www.cwb.ca/dom/db/buying/sales_process/accredit.nsf/webaccexpreg/6A0EA8638DE1922686256949004EEA0B?OpenDocument&Cate gRegion=Europe%20/%20Africa

I clicked Agro-Hall Ltd, wondering who they are, and here's what the CWB site provides:

    "Accredited exporter
    Company: Agro-Hall Ltd.
Contact Person: Tony Plowman / Pat Nolan
    Telephone Number: 1-514-369-2476
    E-mail Address: trading@agrohall.com
    Fax Number: 1-514-369-5793

    Regional Coverage: Europe / Africa
    Commodity: Wheat, Durum Wheat"

Who's Agro-Hall Ltd.? The Google page itself said, "Agro-Hall, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fednav Limited.."

Fednav? Hmmmmm... cute name, but who are they?

Well, I typed Fednav into search and came up with this link:

    http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/primeministers/h4-3525-e.html

The Right Honourable Paul Edgar Phillipe Marin Jr., page.

    Yup. A prime minister.

Oh! We must be in really safe hands, so I quit. Anybody want to finish this off? I have a bit of a twitch in my temple.

I don't know why Ralph Goodale is worried about losing his seat in the coming election,

Even with a big Harper win old Ralphie could easily land a great gig as an Accredited Exporter.

It's the patronage place that no matter what happens in federal politics, the CWB will just keep on giving and giving to Liberals.

Maybe that's why old Rowdy Roddy Flaman is taking up the Liberal Standard, he wants to become an AE, and being a Liberal stalwart gives him the in that's required.

The sooner the PM eviscerates this rotten and fetid cesspool of Liberal patronage the better.

    evis·cer·ate
1 a: to take out the entrails of : disembowel b: to deprive of vital content or force
2: to remove an organ from (a patient) or the contents of (an organ)

By the way if it was a place of Conservative patronage I'd say the same thing about them.

But up till now the only evil I can accuse the Conservatives of to date is being aimless and inept when it comes to dealing with cwb.

You have your words mixed up , replace not eviscerate. Have you not learned anything about politics?

No wonder most farmers despise politics,

our choices are either crooks, commies, or halfwits.

just thinking about it zaps the optimism out of you.

Agstar, I know you were kinda joking, but sometimes I think anarchy would be preferable to our current state of politics in this country. At least with anarchy the same rules apply to everyone. And with anarchy a baseball bat to the temporal lobe becomes an acceptable option in the area of problem solving.

You mean we don't have anarchy now? Election coming to replace one minority with another, fo 400 million? And for what so one can say he can? Its the same old try to hold on to power at whatever cost. But I guess we get what we ask for since no one wants to hear the truth.

Agstar, I know Liberals think that anything that isn't run, controlled, manipulated or in the pocket of Liberals is in a state of anarchy and that Agstar unfortunatly is the root of Liberal arrogance.

Good luck in the coming election with that attitude.

And then the other temple had a tic this afternoon after I began reading Canada's voted-best Blog site called

                      smalldeadanimals.com

because when I clicked on one of the links I ended up at:

                      http://www.cbc.ca/canada/montreal/story/2008/08/30/gagliano-farm.html

Gagliano gets a loan from Farm Credit Corporation.

                      Yup.

Which reminded me of more Boards of Directors, and you know what happened?

This image flashed into my mind, like a dream, purely imagined of course, of all those Farm Credit Corporation Directors, sitting around the board table licking their chops at the interest dollars pouring in from farmers.

In this silly day dream, one director's grunts became louder as they eagerly nodded acceptance of Alfonso Gagliano's loan, all the while two of them stroking their moustaches and scratching their hairy bits, the rest back-slapping and high-fiving a gleeful, "Wait'll the interest rates go up on the farm boys, then we'll see some real cash augered in".

"The wine is on Alfonso. To Alfonso. Bottom's up."

                      Yup.

                      Hope I don't have a nightmare.

I doubt the Liberals have cornered the arrogance market. I seem to recall a certain Finance minister called Flaherty and something about income trusts.
