from their rally back in January Rohl said that "friends of the CWB is an e-mail contact list with a bank account left over from previous fights I'll suspect that there's some old Saskatchewan tax dollars left over in there as well.

Bet that the good ole Albertie g is behind yet another attempt to trash the CWB, any which way it can.... Trow some cash at it, wreck it from the inside, the only way to go, since all else has failed. What is the Trust Fund good for anyway? AB Commission hiding in the background, we want to be the AB Wheat Board in future, cause we know what were doen.... If the attempt is as good as the G-n Registy trashing, it will be wimpy indeed! LOLs

If Burbert says something and there's no one around to hear him, is he still illogical and sarcastic?

chaff: Burbert gets to the meat of the situation and sees the truth which you don't like to hear. The AB gov't has used our (my) money for years to subvert the CWB, and you know it. Why else would they pay for a study on the CWB performance if not to throw some dirt?

Are suggesting the CWB should not be held
accountable for its performance? Perhaps you can
highlight other independent studies that have
examined how well the CWB is doing relative to
              competitors.

If you are going to go someplace with your
discussion, at least reference the CWB response. I
              have read it. Have you?

charliep: Yes, I have read the CWB response.

As far as measurement of CWB performance...why is it up to the AB gov't to commission a study? I would think that the CWB producers would ask the questions...but then the AB gov't was just helping them out in this regard...right? All for a good cause of course.

If you have read the CWB response to the Informa
Economics study, then also are likely to have read
the CWB producer survey conducted by David
                  Herle the last two years.

The answer to your question is the second last
                  sentence without the question mark.

As far as measurement of CWB performance...why
is it up to the AB gov't to commission a study?

ALBERTA GRAIN producers HAVE askED the
questions...The AB gov't IS helping them out in this
                  regard.

Has Informa responded to the CWB's rebutal. I've seen the Wheat growers response but it would be nice if the people who got paid would respond to the criticism.
This is one example of why the CWB or socialism in general fails it's often dueling economists.

                      wilagro:

You wanna know why its up to the AB gov't to commission a study?

How about AB's share of the $1.2 BILLION below average CWB sales program last year?

When you see those kind of numbers slipping out of the economy, you damn well better be doing something about it.
