    FPC and feed wheat buyouts

    Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone has found a method to exchange FPC contracts with another producer if they come up with feed wheat and do not want to deliver and take the huge discount. I am looking for some RW FPC if anyone has some they do not want to deliver against. I talked to the CWB but they don't seem to have a viable way of letting us know if someone wants to exchange.
I can be contacted at curtmc@lincsat.com
    Thanks
    Curt

we exchange and reassign cwb contracts within our group of clients all the time. it's no problem, even across different geographies.

      JOEDALES:
What is agrivilles policy regarging companies such as FARMLINKS loading up these farmer discussions with their advertisements?

If it is ok for them, why can't Viterra, and even Viagra post free adds within these threads?

Please ask Brenda (farmlinks) to purchase banner add space from U,and get out of the discussions.

      Thanks,GB.

          Grainbeatle,

What Brenda posted whas easily within the topic, helped with an idea and solution to the question asked...

Brenda adds to this forum... I consider your comment unreasonable and makes no logical sense.

Every person here that posts has a commercial interest in posting... to discover others opinions and ideas... in an open discussion... and a possible solution to a marketing 'problem'. Free solutions seldom are 'free'... the CWB being the perfect example. The very issue that started this thread.

What is your solution to the problem Grainbeatle...?

            disker asked for ideas.

Brenda provided a link that could perhaps help a farmer solve his dilemna. He can choose to click on it, or not.

She takes time to contribute to this site, and when she logs on, it is with expertise, and with diplomacy and with current information, and with a wealth of knowledge. She is not of dull mind. I may be mistaken, but I believe she is also a farmer.

I encourage Brenda to continue to be an active participant on AV.I learn from her.

GB, sometimes the way you write your posts leaves the impression that you are the type of person who would drown your kittens and then ask your six year old to bury them.

              disker

You asked for names but I thought I could bounce
another couple of ideas for longer term solutions.

The method today is to find a neighbor or
someone else directly or use an CWB farm
business rep, a consultant or someone
person/business. Pretty limited in your contact
base (not putting anyone of them down).

Another solution would be a website or other
method where fpc contracts that are not able to be
filled could posted and potential bid offer process
to determine the value could happen. The value
could be a benefit to farmer in original contract if
prices are dropped or it could a cash payment
between farmers if prices have gone up (something
the original farmer could compare to the CWB cost
of buying the contract out). The website could be
run by the CWB or another organization. The CWB precedent has been set by the delivery certificates
that allow farmers to trade among themselves for
              early delivery opportunity versus postponing
delivery/getting a payment from the person who
              wanted the early deliver privilege.

Grainbeetle - the driver of the original is the
extremely and I highlight extremely financially
painful experience of delivering feed wheat on
fixed price contract. I also note the differences in
feed wheat (guaranteed delivery contract) versus
other wheat (contracts/calls). Perhaps what needs
to happen within the CWB today is they have a
posted daily cash price for markets markets like
Korea that buy feed wheat that can be matched
off with a GDC. Then pay disker the difference
between the day they signed the fpc and today -
they have met their commitment after all.

The precedent in delivery exchange certificates is
below in case you don't look at the CWB website.

I also missed out on some pricing options earlier this spring. I didnt sign a FPC for any wheat, Hard red spring or Winter wheat. If you have a FPC for either let me know, I am interested in paying you a share of the profit between the current pro and your FPC price.

                    Hi All,
Should have been more clear in my question. I have the RW Wheat just curious if anyone had a contract they wanted out of.
                    Curt
p.s. Beetle you need to relax a bit, if someone puts their link at the bottom of a post and they have a valid post I think that is OK, they have always had good posts with info and thought put into them not just an advertisement. Besides they have the guts to put their real name on their posts which is more than I can say for most

good grief i was trying to help. it takes guts to post relevant, specific ideas under my real name, and directing people to our site allows everyone to decide for themselves whether i'm a credible source or not.

but i sure wouldn't want to offend anyone so just to make sure, i'll wait for a apology from you, mr. grain beetle, indicating who you are and where you're from, before posting on this site anymore. you can email it to me directly (presume you can find our web site) if you feel uncomfortable letting everyone here know who you really are.

                      thanks everyone, it's been fun.

Grainbug your true colors just showered brilliant. God forbid someone give valuable advice to a free thinking farmer - Oh yeah - we can not have that.
Thank you Brenda, do not be offended by the CWB boogy men - they are like the schoolyard bullies with no freinds left.
