Here is a better one. If you have fusarium infected wheat - which is basically worthless the cwb will top you up to a #2. Who is paying for that program? I have #3 durum the grainco want to grade a 4. I don't see a program to bump up my returns since I have been growing a 1/2 durum for years.

In our area sprouts are as much a problem as fusarium but there is no program for sprouts as of yet. I got lucky on that one but a neighbor of mine didn't.
He's got sprouts and fusarium and is furious with the board after the local elevator manager told him they couldn't do anything with it under the current rules, but it wouldn't be an issue if he was across the line, there would be a market there for it. And of course the buyback on this supposedly worthless wheat is set so ridiculously high that he can't go after that option either.

I called a one hundred mile radius for someone to take the last of my CWSWS wheat because I had a CWB fixed price on it. No one would take it, I called the CWB and they gave me the number of the local rep guy and he gave me some places to call that I already called so I sat on this wheat through harvest when I needed bin space. The CWB made the buy out dated July 31 and charged me 10,000 dollars. Now what if the market was in my favour I would recieve nothing and still have that wheat. Ya gotta love the CWB system, I would like a hammer so I can pound the board a little deeper up someones.
