CWB: EPO vs FPC Oct 22

    Dear Charlie,

    I see the 1CWRS 13.5 FPC is $270/t ... yet the 100% EPO has a $92/t discount... for $240/t.

What logic would raise the FPC... and yet drop the pool price by $11/t... at the same time?

If the CWB has the ability to risk manage the FPC... why not the EPO?

I don't get it! Great Falls MT. at $308... Lethbridge AB @ $188/t for the same wheat; on the EPO at the CWB?

No real answer to your question other than stay tuned this afternoon. Wheat futures is one component of the FPC and EPO but there will also be costs/risks associated with converting to Canadian dollars.

Will note the fpc basis has also narrowed up a bit for anyone wanting to sign in the last few days the contract will be available.
