Some thing is happening on the world stage with fertilizer but its not resonating to downward prices in western Canada. OH is it dumb farmers believing their fert dealer and Viagra and not whats happening in the real world.
Were custom combining the last late seeded oats on another neighbors farm which I seeded with air drill 1st week of June at 3 bushels an acre on oats stubble and no fertilizer at all, it had a burn off roundup and then sprayed in crop (land is paid for). Yield is 57 bushels an acre across the scale and the guy has a contract with Company for Jan delivery at 50 bus an acre for $4.25.
Its dry its heavy and he will finish harvesting. Hm who is the dumb one?

Next week will drop that much again. Everywhere on the planet but here in western Canada. We need to find out how get action here and now. And I do not care if the local fert dealer is full of overpriced fert, they made their bed they can sleep in it. What is FNA doing for pricing. It will pay off to sit and wait a little longer, someone is going to blink. We do not need fert until spring now. Why buy something that is going to and has been dropping in price?
Cotton, ron, Tom, s/f - et all, lets shake the tree to find out who will supply fert at a decent price. For those that paid the piper ask some very hard nosed questions. Fert prices are plumitting around the world currently they can no longer hide this fact.

Ther has to be a dealer out there that has unloaded his expensive product and is now moving product direct to farm to under cut the competition. I'll take 200 hundred ton at the world price "cashpaid on delivery".

Furrowtickler, yes Lacombe Fertilizer. I was not quoted this price, I mentioned to another farmer I saw a couple guys banding and was told the price had dropped to 650.
