For the ump-teenth time - the US trade challenges have ALWAYS been against the CWB. ALWAYS. And never against Canadian farmers. NEVER.
Every time it was the CWB they were arguing about.
Every time.
And every time someone suggests that if the CWB was shut down and Canadian farmers swamped the US market with Canadian wheat, the US would throw up another trade challenge, they look like an idiot that hasn't been paying attention.

Don't try to get too slick there, timmy.
Absolutely nowhere on the thread has anyone been talking about cattle.
Your post is what I was referring to:
"Bowbells cash 7.50 bu Can (6.18us)delivered.14.5 protein as of friday.say 7.00 equiv. 13.5 pro.Flexpro around 6.10 with trucking incentive.so .90 cents to get it to Bowbells.except we cant take it there and if we could the farmers in us would shut us down"
Nowhere did it refer to cows - it was all about wheat. Unless Flexpro is a new breed I'm not familiar with.
The one line I focused on:
"we cant take it there and if we could the farmers in us would shut us down"
The IT you can't take to Bowbells is wheat, right?
My point stands.

timm,
Why would I want to take my wheat to Bowbells?
The Canadian system can easy save $30/t using our ports and handling system...
If the CWB were forced to be competitive (with allowances for others to extract more for CDN growers)... and got together logistics and handling in a reliable manner... there should be no problem getting premium prices OVER PNW US prices.
Don't tell me there are NO CDN handlers capable of filling CWB orders in a competitive choice market... that is just a plain ignorant argument.
Providence Grain... Westlock Terminals, Great Northern Grain, Stettler, Pulse processors from one side of the prairies to the other... Producer Cars... the list endless producer focused grain handlers since consolidation of Agricore has opened up plenty of real alternatives all over western Canada. Vancouver Warves are just waiting for new business... as is Seattle, Portland, and Prince Rupert!

Timm,
Excuse ME!
"To err is human...to blame it on someone else is politics"
We are looking at the CWB 'Monopoly'(that my family is forced to swallow) that is cranking up the retoric... every time it gets the opportunity... telling how brilliant they are!
How do we fix this mess... if we can't expose the problem...?
What is wrong with exposing CWB politics with the real issues that need to be dealt with???
('Politics is the process by which groups of people make various decisions.')
