    somebody's not telling the truth!!!!

There have been some comments on here, suggesting we should just relax because CAIS is going to kick in. BULLSHIT or someone is not filling the forms out honestly. Even if you have not had the total wipeouts many of us have had and have a higher margin than us that have lost several crops you won't be getting a payout. Whether you've harvested 70 % or 10% of your acres if your crop was as good as has been suggested, all that production harvested and what is not harvested has to be counted as production. So there is no way in hell anyone unless you have no crop at all and basically no crop insurance in the spring will anyone recieve anything out of this program. Several of us in our area have punched in the numbers we're at 60 % done but that doesn't matter that grain in the field counts and actually with our low margins what we have harvested already puts us out. At these prices and cost of production we needed all the crop not take a 40% loss of production to make it work. We are in the same boat as all those cattleman being sent packing down the road who thought the program was going to do something meaningful. It's meaningful alright to those getting those jobs at CAIS not anyone else.
That program needs to be stopped immediately stop that bullshit of all that cost of transferring the program. Cut this FU%%%%% BULLSHIT out, grab some balls DITZ and Bjoprud, start dealing with a flat out acreage payout, cost of production on acres out, nothing more nothing less stop bullshitting us that it's a trade issue to not use acreage payouts because as far as trade goes you guys are being walked all over by China India etc. already. They're fu%%%%% us over, we're loosing our land to them our oil industry etc, etc, etc, They are refusing to pay for our product but we are buying their lead filled junky crap at what ever they charge.

S.... That was quite a rant!

Only problem is... who that matters... better yet who that can or could do anything about it CARES. Seems like starving polite people are far behind those with nukes, guns and the blackmailing suicide folks.

Hope you feel better... YET small business is much worse off than farmers... because often they depend on us doing well to start the local prosperity chain going!

It is interesting that black oil is $80/bbl... reality seems gov decided that part of the prosperity chain is required to keep the financial system operational!

As the old saying goes... don't confuse the facts with the truth!

    GRIN <(>:{

We are still better off that well over 90% of the rest of the world!

SK is right on one thing Tom. Every farmer out their with crop out should in no way ever believe that crop insurance or CASIP will help them with this latest disaster. These programs fail miserably two year ago bumper wipes out frost of 02 margins still good on our farm payout will be sweet f___ all. Also when the hell will the powers that be realize that the Chinese are comunists who don't give a rip about their workers, and india more of their poor die in one day than all the people who will get swine flew in canada (H1N1). The biggest purchacers in the world don't care about their own so how do you negotiate with terrorist and ones with no moral concience. We should all Quit buying their cheap shit and get back to canadian and american made.

Small business worse off? NO! If we're economically in the shitter they are in the shitter if we're okey they are okey that's all.
My rant is about 2 political parties that bullshitted us about how bad the liberal and NDP agricultural policy was and that agriculture could not continue as it was and on and on and on, and how they would be prepared for a disaster. They are fu%%%%% bullshitters that got us believing they would end the CWB end CAIS, get rid of property tax be prepared for weather disasters, clean up crop insurance etc. Hell they couldn't even end the gun control thing in spite of spending millions investigating what to do, H1N1 surprise surprise it's here where the hell is the vaccine no good after our kids are dead, but hell maybe we'll make a joke about those that die from it seems like that's how you get a cabinet post these days isn't it. Wall to wall incompetence.

CAIS can't cut in until at least 2010 for most producers. Which technically means 2011 because it is based on filing your income tax. The bad year won't be until 2010 for the bad income because its the 2009 crop that makes that bad income.

Interesting that none of the rocket scientists at our farm groups didn't ask " ... why didn't the auto companies have to give them a five year average of net incomes and then wait two years for a payout...". That's the way you get people pst at you and then it seems governments/people start to listen.

But I have to ask where is APAS and the NFU on this file?

APAS is simply a municipal tax on farmers.

Good Question- Sure don't here "boo" from APAS. Bet they still collect their big fat levy.

As for CAIS- You can apply for your 2009 interim payment. The problem with that is if you don't qualify for a payment later when you fill in your forms after April, then you'll have to pay it back.

                I wouldn't say boo either.

I threw out some rotten tomatoes from the bottom of the pan the other day that reminded me of APAS.Pars

skhad, this is the true work of free trade, lie to protect your own interests. So nobody is realy telling the truth - case in point - flax - mustard - beef - pork - lumber, and now canola.
WTF is black shank anyway, if it is not blackleg I doubt that it even exsists - Never learned about that in University - or I slept through that class.

                      BOO YAA!SK

The more people that finally see the light of the utter incompetence/selfishness of ALL political parties the better.

People who still vote blue are sheep.Dont sell the lesser of two evils crap.If i have to choose,i choose not to choose.

You were sold out and you took the bait hook, line and sinker.

Question is what do some of you do now?

Most will hang onto the little ridiculuos arguements that spin in their heads like-"we were in a minority what could we do" and "stephan is just biding his time to set things right".

And then...as time passes and ignatigoof takes power, you'll have a new/old enemy,he'll pull the same b@llsh%t as stephone but this time as your new blue leader rises and promisise you the basic things all citizens want you'll rally to his side and be disappointed again as he treats you like his heshe mistress. You wont even be lucky enough to get a kiss out of the whole tramitrizing ordeal and you wont want one because the whole cycle will begin again, like it has always done, and time will have erased the miserable memories of being treated like an alter boy.Go riders,Go ufc,the games are running full tilt, just like when rome burnt down.

Do you think its time that western canadian farmers get more teeth like the french farmers. It seems they get results.

The speeches these guys from our farm groups make have no consequences. Therefore nothing changes. Until we as a farming community get a leader that will unite us as a whole and put some teeth to the speeches we are all doomed. The peasants have to revolt.

Thanks Bill, I thought from pars translations that they referred to black shank and blackleg as something different. Either way it is still a crock.

Your right about having more teeth and the lack of performance out of the farm groups. In may opinion in many instances they act to seperate us more than unite us and the latter is what we need. We need some one or group to represent that what is happenning is bullshit and it has to stop now. We need a bigger share of the product dollar either directly or through some sort of equalization. We need consequences to occur when bullshit excuses are used to devalue our product for no reason, we need consequences for politicians that try to bullshit the public into thinking we are getting all this money that is really just a joke. The firt step could and should be right here and now to end this CAIS program how bananas is it to spend all those millions to move something that isn't worth wiping your hind end with to another place and think that's gonna do some good! The crap is still gonna be there and stink only in a different place.

Hey everyone, if you got nothing to do you can go to an APAS field day in November. A flyer fell out of the western producer.

Thank god that our rm quit paying that levy. Frigging morons.
