600 million in aid ?

Remember we were supposed to get 600 million this year. Has anyone heard how they are going to pay it out or have they forgot about it with the BSE crisis. It would be a handy payment to buy some fuel for harvest as it looks like we can't count on money from our feeders for harvest expense !

Did you actually think there would be 600 million for us? That includes all the programs to keep the civil service numbers up.

We got 600 million last year. It was put into our Nisa accounts. We were supposed to get 600 million this year. Vanclief hadn't decided how it would be paid out this year but had said we would get it earlier. Haven't heard it mentioned lately.

This is part of the producer challenge, many of the so called agriculture programs count on what we have been told is "The trickle down effect"! In other words the producer does not directly benefit from the funds. This is not the insurance or safety net programs, but the money being spent on "Agriculture".
