    Goodale's Private Members Bill

REGINA — Deputy Liberal Leader Ralph Goodale introduced a private member’s bill in Parliament Tuesday to help protect producer-car loading sites across Western Canada.

These sites, located along railway sidings, enable prairie grain producers to load their own rail cars for shipment to export, instead of being forced to deal with a private grain company.

“There are some 300 of these sites in existence today, down from over 700 in 1999,” said Goodale in a press release. “In total last year, producers loaded nearly 12,000 cars at these sites, up from fewer than 3,500 10 years ago.”

Ralph where were you 15 years Ago when your government was in power and was asleep at the switch on this issue!
