    PF- mono directors and board people lie to farmers all the time. The biggest is about so-called "premiums" that don't exist. Others include, market power, its the 'farmers' board, and that the majority of farmers love the single desk. None of it is true or can be backed up with actual facts. But they keep spinning these fairy tales trying to keep their gravy train going. And it is quite the gravy train.

      Tom4CWB: If you are referring to being "afraid" regarding business/money and relying on our Maker to watch over us, I would suggest we watch our back. Not everyone may be operating on the same set of morals.

        Farmaholic;

        Agreed.

        "So be wise as serpents and innocent as doves."

        In a 'Faith' based relationship... the Spiritual perspective is like a 5th sense. Deception is often allerted to like the feeling of fire alarm warning... a soft inner voice

        It is not offensive alert... but calm... and closes in a peaceful respectful solution.

        NOT fear... but respect and insight/understanding into why they chose the tack they took.

        'be wise as serpents and innocent as doves'

        The beauty of the freedom, to say NO.

          Tom...yes we will be sorely tested as the evil government works towards elimination of the CWB single-desk authority.

          We will indeed be thrown to the wolves. So it is apt to quote this passage from the Bible.

          ==
          Be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.

          “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Beware of men, for they will deliver you over to courts and flog you in their synagogues, and you will be dragged before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them and the Gentiles. When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. Brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death, and you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next, for truly, I say to you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

          The imagery of being sheep in the midst of wolves is a very scary one.. wolves eat sheep.. and ungodly leaders persecute and kill heavenly ambassadors. The stakes are serious and Jesus instructs them (and us) to:

          be wise.. we are to use our heads and embrace the wisdom of our hearts;
          be innocent.. we are to live from our heart and have pure motives;
          beware men.. be on the alert in our dealing with men of ill-will;
          not be anxious about what to say.. rather trust the Holy Spirit to give the words;
          endure.. so needed when trials and persecution come our way.

          Sometimes life is a bit scary - things sometimes seem so out of control. It is in times like these that we need to remember Jesus' instructions to his disciples. Our lives may be different than theirs but Jesus words are no less effective when we heed them.

          I need you Lord. Bless me with grace to be wise, innocent, alert, trusting and enduring.

            Wilagro,

            The standard, we in Canada, as a nation are being built upon:

            1. Do unto others as you would have done unto you,
            And the Negative Golden Rule, which states;
            Do not do unto others as you would not have others do unto you;
            2. The two fundamental principles of common law:
            *Do not infringe upon the Rights, Freedoms or Property of others, and
            *Keep all contracts willingly, knowingly and intentionally.
            3. These maxims in common law which include:
            a) That for every wrong there is a remedy,
            b) The end does not justify the means,
            c) Fundamental principals cannot be set aside to meet the demands of convenience or to prevent apparent hardship in a particular case,
            d) Ignorance of the law is no excuse for breaking the law,
            e) Two wrongs do not make a right, and
            f) One can enlarge the rights of the people; however they cannot be taken away without their informed consent.

            I see nothing in the CWB 'single buying desk' that Goodale put in place in the May 1996 Govenor in Council Order... that met these Common Law standards.

            It was done to save the prairie pools.

            Obviously it did not work.

            What built Canada's prosperity?

            THESE POSITIVE Principals listed above. Our leaders PM Harper & Minister Ritz are obeying these founding principals.

            God bless them both and continue to give them wisdom.

            God bless Canada.
