    Ritz's working group

I looked over the document that this group put out on the CWB and didn't find any input from the Alberta government or Alberta Grain Commission. At one point in time, Alberta was a leader on this file and now they are nowhere to be seen as the marketing environment undergoes a once in a generation fundamental change. What's up with that? There are smart people there with lots of experience to contribute and that's exactly what we need at this point in time...

      The Albertie Barley Commission currently
has no head, it's headless, just stenos,
      and accountants collectin checkoff fees
      currently. Theys busy threatening
barley buyers, wit fines and goal time!
Sorta a mini wheatie bored operation in
      progress...... The Albertie Grainery
Commission is an unknow entity in Gag,
hence they have no position, other than
trash the CWB a course, PC hacks
collecting money fer little er no work
      done. Current position, wallowing at
      the public trough of funds.........

The AB government has been ranting and railing against the CWB for the last fifty flaming years. Its about time they called it quits. Millions of dollars wasted. Well they may get their way OR they may not...anyway its time for them to butt out and divert their efforts to a more productive course of action IF they can even find one.

Not sure what you expect me to day.

The best answer I can give is the government of Alberta supports the federal government in their efforts to deregulate the wheat and barley in western Canada.

From an ARD standpoint, our efforts will be directed to helping farmers and agribusiness adapt to an open market for export/domestic human consumption.

Suspect it will not be as big an issue as some would make it to be but it will be change. Producer payment options have made this job easier.

              Conservative Albertie, has Conservative
Stevie in Ottawa. They feel that they
currently have what they want in place.
Stevie owes, Albertie and will due the
right things, to hep dem out, at least
thats what they tinks. Give money to
Quebec & Ontario, and lip sevice to
Albertie. Once a conservative, always a
              conservative, yup wes open fer
              angribusiness! Whatever happens, who
              cares, cause Angristability will fill
              the gap!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the reply Charlie. In addition to the activities that you outlined, I would encourage the GOA to also be directly involved and influential as the legislation, processes, and protocols are developed.
