Unclaimed money from Iraq wheat payments

The deadline for growers to claim money from Iraqi unpaid wheat bills has been extended to the end of the financial year.
48,000 growers have been contacted by accountancy firm Ferrier Hodgson informing them of a surprise payment in April.
Since then, 25,000 have responded, but that's left tens of thousands of farmers still missing.
The payments will be made by Iraq over 16 years, as it slowly settles its overdue account with Australia's former wheat exporter.
The money is to do with wheat sold from the 1987 to 1990 seasons.
Ferrier Hodgson's Greg Meredith says some farmers think they're going to be ripped off.
"The most common question we get asked when people ring in is, is this a scam?"
"We try to assure them that it's not a scam but I guess that's if it was a scam that's what the scammers would say, wouldn't they?"
