Exactly. And here in mid-western Ontario land is selling for considerably more than in Iowa where they can consistently grow 40 - 50 bu. more corn and 15 bu. bigger soy crops.

In our area land is selling for 8 - 12K/ac. and grows 160 bu corn. Just south east of us it is 12 - 18K/ac for slightly more heat units.
It is mostly supply management money with a few cash croppers and the odd hog farmer in the mix. Very odd . . .
