Vancouver investors! Or Suckers! Or just didn't do their homework.

Yesterday as I was spraying the bachelors farm,
who shows up but the investor and broker . They
brought out a sucker, sorry investor from
Vancouver to look at his purchase. This ponzy
scheme, just keeps getting better. Who drives up
the price 4 times what it was in one year. See the
first group buys the property from the farmer with
just a down payment then they try to resell it to a
sucker for more money. Good game,they make a
mark up and flip. Again question why up the area
price by 4 times what it was going for. Why not
buy low then flip it to said sucker for 4 times
making 1 st company a fortune. It just baffles me.
Also wouldn't you show the investor around in
some classier vehicle than a ford explorer?
But here is some thing else that Come out. Said
investors is fron Vancouver on this purchase,
investor is your average joe, owns a home their
scared about the future so is taking a loan out
against home (overpriced Vancouver market) and
paying cash for farm.
Maybe I will get this land back some day!
I feel sorry for these guys they have no clue,
sprayer gps showed 174 seeded out of 320. Yea
it's worth 200000 a quarter. Sorry rent won't be
15000 for this land. Maybe if it's 1986 and a
drought years so its back end to end. Time will
tell. I wish them good luck.

Their are two that I rent now that only have
access through our land. Road is gone to get
their. Rent negotiating should be fun. I have 7
years of gps maps on all the land.
The sad part of all this is the investor might end
up broke some day. Checking to see what
companies hold exploration rights for area. No
minerals on titles all in crown.

I once asked a guy from BC that was looking for land in our area why he was willing to pay so much. His reasons were they were not making any more land and it is cheap compared to where he came from.

So I said, if it was worth what you are willing to pay, don't you think I would have bought it before it was on the market.

Would he not have wanted a rental deal secured before he put out the cash to buy it at 4 times the year ago price? Anyways sask you cannot block anyone from farming that land as there must be a road allowance.

Road is gone for 1/4 mile, reserve to east me to
south reserve pasture to west and north, basically
he's fu&@ed. I'm not blocking any one.

I fear that we will see more of this.
Agriculture looks relatively good in a
sea of disaster that is or will soon
overtake the rest of the world. Even the
oil patch will slow this fall as the
Canadian price of oil sucks. It is
always a clear signal of end of a move
when people that have no business in a
business show up.

Investing in good well drained productive land is one thing , but investing in pot holes, sloughs and willows will not pay dividends, IMO. Ducks are happy though, mayde they can bring up American bird hunters?? Oh yea, they are broke and are wanting hunts for 1/2 price now.... what to do?? Oh yea, mud boogs for oil riggers and miners with quads and side by sides - that will pay the bills at $2000/ac hehehe.

Ohohoh, and then when we get a few years of drought, they can collect grasshoppers, berthas and gophers and sell them to China for delicacies. And when an early frost hitts in August they can sell ice canola wine to the French. Ah, they have it all figured out. This farming business is easy money, great investment in Sask. Oh wait this is not Iowa... never mind.
