    Fall Work!

Boy were almost half way into October
and wow, Nice weather mother nature.
    Frick is it cold.
Soil temp is dropping every day and we
were white yesterday morning. Cold this
    morning.
So Basically all fall spraying is done.
Unless you have thistles covering the
    whole field its done.
We have got 20 quarters back to full
    quarters with moisture conditions nice
one inch below the ground. If your
landscaping once you get down a foot its
    mud.
Harrowing is happening all over but with
the snow the last 4 days have been shut
    down.
The Kelly High speed disc harrow is
working very nice. Mowed down Cat tails
    and then chews them up.
Cat comes out next week but looks like
it might be to wet for any real work
    till freeze up.
    What are others doing.

Saskfarmer3 We drove through your way

I like to do some field work here but the ground is as hard as a rock here. Haqve a lot of ruts from the last three years of spraying

join me in the big apple. Off to the
Yankees game. Good thing the market is
up, wife is going shopping. Again.

Jag no that's redheads, were green. Little further
              east!
Winter plans are done, but way to many acres
were lost its like finding another 2000 acres for
              2013.

4 hours freezing helping set dynamite in a beaver house and dam. Sure ruined their day!

7 days into 40 days of scraping. Ditches been deglected last few years. Glad I own all the land cause if I just rented I may not do it and cuss at the wet fields the rest of my life. Going to chew FarmWorld a new asshole in morning cause they don't have my tractor done yet. Actually they are having issues problems fixing a stuck valve and giving me some crap. Been on their lot since April 20. Need the tractor on the cultivator. Got hired man picking every little rock also, can see them well now that everything is harrowed. Going to push some 30 acres of trees down but not going to tell the 4 year old. She was shocked when I told her of the nieghbour had done it LOL.

And the sc****r is pulling very hard. Will try new blades in a few days. Must take the front weights off the 535 versatile. Tractor is not ballanced properly at 70 30. Should be 60 40.

                        That's not performance!
                        What color? Warranty work?

Older IH that had a new rebuilt engine. Developed a light ticking sound. Supposed to be under warrantee. They are claiming a dropped valve which I do not believe and the fact they are having trouble getting warrantee from the company that rebuilt the head. They showed me a 22,000 dollar work order they are trying to get warrantee on. So they charged me for some injector work and turbo work costing 2400 that most likely should not have been done in the first place. I paid it and expected to drive the tractor home the other day and basically the tractor had no power could hardly drive itself. I am not fond of these guys. They better get it in the shop tomorrow morning. Really I am too busy to deal with them so I am going to have a short fuse. Pretty sure a dropped valve would be more than a light ticking sound.
