    contraption.

      Looks like a solution without a problem to me.
      What happens when the tillage bogs down in a soft
      spot or compaction and the combine keeps going?

        If you were working in terrain, or a
        portion of the field that wasn't quite
        fit to be chiseled, then you are able to
        lift the disc and the chisels up and
        move through the area without digging.
        Then, you can just go back later. The
        main goal is harvesting undisturbed.
        However, if you can accomplish tillage
        at the same time(or 50% - 75% of the
        fall tillage) with minimal interference,
        then there are many
        economical/production benefits to be
        had. Good question, thanks.
