Funny when I went to pay my Diesel bill
and Land taxes yesterday how the topic
    of foreign ownership came up.
Local fuel supplier says the Chinese are
the worst for paying fuel. Every excuses
in the book. Then at one RM office a new Canadian had a letter that said he owed
taxes for last year and this and what
does that mean. Dah seemed he moved and didn't think to change his address for
    the RM.
    Learning curve is steep.
But on these land companies and
investment houses and Chinese where is
any of them helping the local community.
THats the Billion dollar question that
    every one knows.

100 million acres at 1000 dollars an acre is 100
billion or ruffly 10% of chinese american treasury
      holdings.

Sounds like a good trade to me.

Is there any risk in receiving payment of rent? If one has them pay 50% prior to seeding and then 50% after, what happens if they go broke or have tight cash flow? Does one just kick them off if they are late and if so, will lawyers get involved and can a small guy get screwed? I've never really needed a dedicated lawyer and don't really want to spend paid rent on a lawyer to collect unpaid rent. Comments please.

If you get 60 at the beginning before
they seed and then 60 in fall they
fulfilled their arrangement. If its a
three year deal and your get two years
paid. then your still ahead. Throw them
out if they don't pay have a stipulation
in on dates. Pay your lawyer to set it
up don't do a hand shake.
Just a simple thing Don't over spend on
your own and need their rent check.
