Also isnt it funny that some companies a
month ago were going around telling
farmers to liquidate all their HRS because this is the best price. Remember
the $36,000 cost for advise. Now that
Australia is having a below average crop
and poor quality. Hm didn't most on here
know that Australia had some frost
earlier in year DAH frost doesn't make a
bumper. Now the same BS on south
america. Mother nature rules not some BS
about crop conditions from Grain
companies.

Was on a conference call yesterday with Informa Economics (they have their outlook conference in Calgary November 29 to 30) and they are optimistic on prices as well. US is front end loading their soybean export again which will leave them extremely tight. Weather is not perfect in South America but very early in their crop to be calling for disaster (just over 25 % seeded). How US deals with their tight soybean supplies will be interesting. Soybean meal the driver of prices and soybean oil not nearly so optimistic. Corn prices are curtailing demand but seasonal patterns (harvest sales and availability feed wheat from FSU short term) are holding back prices. Supplies remain tight and corn is likely putting in lows. World wheat situation has changed and becoming more interesting for the reasons stated in another thread. Pulses are dependent to a large extent what happens in the India wheat crop season.

I note your market plan of selling late winter/early spring. No problems with it. I also don't think anyone should hold off pricing today if they have financial needs/like the thought of having inventory converted into cash. The big thing is to have a market plan and execute on it.

Funny thing is Cargill wanted 36000 for
advise to sell sell sell off the combine
because its the best that prices would be.

Not going to Red Deer year so will have to get others to fill in the details. Alberta commission meetings will have a good slate of outlook speakers including Mike Jubinville, Greg Kostal, David Wong and even moi (Charlie Pearson). Alberta farmers will have to check out the Commission websites to find out who is speaking.
