Daylight savings time. Something that was created to solve the problems of a long gone century. It has lived well past it's usefulness because of the lack of imagination in our status quo politicians.

Does this remind you of another, once long in the tooth, institution much discussed on this forum?

Why do we keep fiddling with the clocks?

    One word, "golf".

If politicians change it in Saskatchewan, I'll know its "time" to retire to my south Pacific island.

In Saskatchewan we need the time change. At
640 the suns up at 5 it's setting. Wouldn't it be
nice to have sun up at 7 40 and set at 6.

Geez...such a minor "inconvenience". Having grown up with DST I have no problem with it whatsoever.

Minor inconveniences, like mosquitoes should not
be left to live long annoying lives.

We need to be synchronized and consistent with
the rest of the time zones. It would be nice to be
on DST and the consistemcy would sure help
            with making flights.

We do not live in some coccoon, we need to get
            with the program.

              'A stupid program'

              The story I remember concerning this foolishness goes something like this;

A wise Indian chief, upon hearing of daylight savings time, shakes his head and says,"Only the whiteman could cut a foot off the bottem of a blanket, sew it to the top and proclaim it now 12 inches longer".

We switched to Mountain Daylight Savings
Time back in the late 60's in case you
did not know. The province was divided by
                  the third meredian(in the Regina
area)time wise.West was on mountain time
and east was on central time.It was
decided by a vote to put the whole
province on MDST all year round. That way
the province was all on the same time.

What's disturbing is many people refer to
it as Saskatchewan time. Newsflash, if you
don't live in sk, you have no idea what
the hell time that is. So please stop
                    doing that.

Well then I'd like double MDST, move another hour in spring. Daylite at 4am is a huge shame and a waste. Or business, work and school could start an hour or two earlier. IMHO.

I don't have time for this discussion.
But seriously there are only 3 weeks in
the fall and three in the spring where
it would make a difference. The rest of
the time there is either alot of
                        daylight or not enough.

My man Ron Paul (blessed be his name) would fix
this $hit right up ;-) It would be sayonara to this
                          ridiculousness.

But alas I am stuck in this stupid world where Ron is
considered an outsider and people like Burbert have
way too much sway. Shades of Atlas Shrugged,
                          batman!

                          I need a drink.
