Well maybe I'll have to jump in the Delorean and go check it out.

" Hey Doc want to go to an auction sale in 2006"

    " Great Scott!!!!!!"

I think they will be able to reprint this story in the not to distant future. I don't wish anyone bad luck and have enjoyed the increase of land values but..... Some one I respect said "optimism is a good thing, but too much can be dangerous". Careful everyone, I think non-ag money doesn't see the whole picture. Investors will likely unload it when a better option becomes available. Wish I could see the future.

Says he wants to sell it to an "honest farmer"

              YA RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!

Then why sell by Richie Bros? They stop selling
              to the highest bidder?

Yes a 2006 article, amazing how things change so fast. That was the time to be buying land trouble is there was no money farming it then.

2.5 million would have likely bought the entire 80 quarters, hard to imagine not allot of money when talking buying land these days.

That is because the article is dated March 23, 2006

Wonder how the guy made out that bought the 75.000 bushel bins. I remember the buyer had them advertised in the producer think he was asking about what he paid for them if can remember correctly. Had to be moved.

I'm hoping his point was we could see a repeat of history on this issue.
