Not to split hairs, but why in your post example did you specify that the landowner said okay to the survey if it means bugger all whether he says anything, at any time?
You're leaving the perception that an oil company could level anyone's farmyard to spud a well if it was cheaper to do that for an oil company, and even if it wasn't cheaper, but convenient to do so.
If that's truly the Alberta way, you can keep it.
