      min video 10 min after i posted,guess i won't ask
what you thought of it,seeing as how you didn't listen
to it,and never did have the brains for a cognitive
rebuttal, you switch to simple minded hack that only a
person with down syndrome could identify with, but

Here is a transcript of the speech for anyone who wants to read it.

        http://www.campaignforliberty.org/national-blog/transcript-of-farewell-address/

It really is a good speech.

Personally, I think he's bit too dovish when it comes to foreign policy. But he's bang on when it comes to economics.

We just went through an American election where half the people thought it was about taking the other halfs stuff, while the other half thought it was about protecting their stuff. Very few people realized what it really should be about, namely individual rights, and Liberty.

          Dovish on foreign policy?

You think it will be fun when china descides to be like
the us and put troops everywhere?

What if china decided it should support the party
quebec wa and liberate it from the tyranny of english
          canada,or our aboriginals?

What would go through everyones heads if they had
to drive through armed chinese military check points
          right here in canada?

          Honestly?

I thought that this statement by Ron Paul was quite pertinent:

"Without an intellectual awakening, the turning point will be driven by economic law. A dollar crisis will bring the current out-of-control system to its knees."

I'm afraid that time has run out for any significant intellectual awakening in Western nations. I don't see a political giant on the order of Margaret Thatcher or Ronald Reagan waiting in the wings anywhere. Economic laws will force an abrupt day of reckoning for the modern welfare state long before a rational political movement has a chance to head off this crisis. Average Joe Citizen won't know what hit him when this happens. If he looks to the current crop of political leaders for sensible guidance through a crisis, he won't find any. Not in the short term anyway.

Nobodys going to get even though we just had
                remembrance day.

Its the number of troops killed or injured in
                afghanistan as of december 2010.

The number is only released once a year now in
january, lest we forget-forget we are getting our ass
                kicked for over a decade.

Re Afghanistan, I watched a show the other night about bomb squad units in the U.S. military whose job it is to find and defuse explosive devices planted in and around transportation routes in Afghanistan. While U.S. forces have access to fantastic technology to deal with these bombs, the Taliban also seem to have an endless supply of them and the devices themselves are getting more and more complex. It takes hours, not minutes, to set up these devices but the locals rarely report the bomb-makers to the Coalition forces. Not what you would expect if you were winning that conflict a decade after becoming involved in it.

So why didn't the republicans go with Ron Paul instead of Romney?

Most will agree with Paul and his policies, but no one wants to upset the apple cart.

Cotton the only thing stopping countries like china from doing exactly that right now is the US military.

Ask the South Koreans if they want the US to step out from between them and North Korea? They wouldn't even have to think about it. It would be suicide.

Think of all of the trade routes that are now safe because the US navy is patrolling the seas.

Someone does have to police the world. And like it or not the US is the only one capable of doing it.

Its a dangerous world out there and its extremely naive to think that everything would be just fine if only the US military would stand down. It wouldn't. It would be anarchy.

Bucket, most republicans don't even come close to agreeing with Paul on anything. That's a big part of the problem. They may agree with the odd point here and there but that's it.

Far too many of them love big government and think that the only thing wrong with it is that they're not the ones running it.

Ron Paul has screws loose in his closet. He is a mixed bag of good ideas and warped ones. He sounds reasonable until you dig deeper into his past.

                            Ya,crazy,please follow the constitution,what a nut.

Two types of people in this world, those that want to
be left alone and those that won't let them-("Dylan"i
                            think)

A very heavy price will be paid in the not to distant
future because of all the people in the world that just
                            can't leave other people alone.

There is nothing that Ron Paul promoted that isn't true. He was the last hope for a failing empire.

People of a "socialist mindset" don't like his ideas of being responsible for yourself.

People who like the idea of "crony capitalism" through endless wars don't like him because he threatens their blood money!

Who in their right minds wants to scarifice their children to fight a bunch of senseless wars all over the world?

Who in their right mind thinks putting half the population on the dole makes sense?

Ron Paul is a voice of sanity in an insane world!
